Reuters reports that New Zealand’s near-monopolistic casino operator, SkyCity Entertainment Group, has shown a 49 percent drop in its full-year profit.

The first-half net profit to June 30 was 49.9 million New Zealand dollars, almost half of what it posted last year at 98.4 million New Zealand dollars, which, according to a Reuters analyst, was in line with the company’s forecast of 49.4 million New Zealand dollars.
