Sportech has announced the acquisition of 4thegame.com, a football Web site. The United Kingdom operator will use the site to strengthen its online presence and to provide content to recently relaunched pools betting product, it said in a statement.
Under the new agreement, Fast Web Media, a United Kingdom-based sports digital agency and previous owners of the Web site, will continue to provide operational and creative expertise to 4thegame.com.
“Given 4thegame.com's heritage and track record of nurturing their football audience, I believe that the acquisition will provide Sportech with extensive online possibilities,” said Will Muirhead, managing director of Football Pools Online, in the statement. “We look forward to working with Fast Web Media to develop the site and grow the audience internationally.”
