Sportingbet's recent financial filing shows the company is profitable once again.
For the six-months ending Jan. 31, 2008 Sportingbet's wagering revenue increased 30 percent to £364.7 million and profit rose to £2.2 million.
“This has not been achieved by especially favourable outcomes to sports events - the margin percentage is actually slightly lower than last year - but rather from strong growth in turnover from our core sports offering and careful cost control,” said Andrew McIver, chief executive.
