Ahead of SBC Summit Lisbon, casino games aggregator and full-service technology provider St8 has published early focus group usage data from its MCP powered back-office AI assistant. The numbers point to a shift that many in iGaming have predicted but few can yet show: operators are moving agentic AI into daily operational use.
Between 19 July and 18 September 2026, St8 logged more than 7,000 AI-handled queries and actions through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration via the focus group: the emerging open standard that lets AI systems connect directly to external tools and data sources. Rather than staff navigating dashboards manually, operator teams increasingly ask the assistant to pull reports, check configurations, and flag issues directly within St8's aggregation platform.
Setting aside one exceptional week at the beginning of August due to users collecting monthly reports and invoice data, weekly query volume climbed steadily from 490 in the week of 19 July to 762 in the week of 6 September, signifying a 55% increase in seven weeks, as more operator teams built the assistant into their regular workflow rather than treating it as a novelty.
The daily usage data provides another indication of routine adoption. Activity consistently drops over Saturdays and Sundays before rebounding on Mondays, broadly following the rhythm of business-hours operations and suggesting that the technology is being used as part of regular back-office workflows.
The high level of activity in the first week of August also demonstrates the system’s capacity under load. Usage surged to 2,679 queries, nearly five times the typical weekly baseline, without disruption to service. For operators evaluating AI tools for production environments rather than sandbox trials, that ability to handle significant spikes in demand is an important consideration.
For an industry weighing up where AI genuinely earns its place in day-to-day operations versus where it remains marketing gloss, St8's data offers proof of real usage, sustained over nine weeks, trending upward.
