A new US study says casinos are a big reason for the downturn in bingo profits. Professor Robert P. Strauss of the Carnegie Mellon Heinz School of Public Policy, who oversaw the study, said bingo does not offer the "fancy, glamorous appeal" of casinos, which are now more common and closer to home.
