On Thursday, Tabcorp Holdings announced the resignation of Walter Bugno, chief executive of the Australian gaming company’s casinos division.
In a prepared statement, Tabcorp said Mr. Bugno, 48, will leave the company in early 2009 to pursue a business opportunity based in London. The company is actively looking on a global scale for his replacement.
“Walter has made a valuable contribution to Tabcorp,” said Elmer Funke Kupper, Tabcorp’s chief executive. “He has managed the casinos division through a turbulent period and has put in place the first building blocks to turn our casinos business into a world-class operation.”
