Even though Tabcorp Holdings has resorted to legal action against Racing Victoria Ltd., the Daily Telegraph reports that the gaming company said it is “not at war with the Victorian racing industry.”
The Telegraph said Tabcorp served a writ in the Victorian Supreme Court directed at Racing Victoria’s right to enact product fees, which Racing Victoria’s chief executive said it will “vigorously defend.”
“We support the imposition of a race fields fee based on a percentage of turnover, but not as a percentage of revenue,” a Tabcorp spokesperson told the paper.
