Before publishing its report on the draft Gambling Bill, Parliament's Joint Scrutiny Committee asked for all parties with an interest in the bill to submit their views, opinions and concerns of the new model of regulation. Upon issuing an open call for written evidence, the committee received over 170 submissions from a vast variety of organizations, including not just companies directly involved in the traditional and Internet gambling industries such as Rank and CryptoLogic, but also psychologists, policy experts from different countries, Christian organizations and many more. The committee also held 17 sessions for oral evidence for which witnesses were also "drawn deliberately widely."
The committee asked that both the written submissions and the transcripts of oral sessions be published, but the massive document spans many pages and subjects and can therefore be quite difficult to navigate. For ease and simplicity, IGN has compiled submissions and oral evidence relevant to online gambling.
