(PRESS RELEASE) -- Titanbet Sports UK has announced its first partnership with
York Racecourse after agreeing to sponsor this weekend’s May Spring Meeting.
Their agreement will see the sportsbook endorse two races on Saturday, May 30, which will both be shown live on Channel 4.
The seven race card will now include the seven furlong Titanbet Stakes at 1:45 p.m. and the Titanbet Spring Sprint over five furlongs at 2:55 p.m.
Both handicaps are open to horses aged three, who will be competing for combined prize money of £80,000.
Racegoers in what is expected to be a bumper weekend crowd will be able to enjoy special sign-up offers, with money back concessions and competitive prices throughout the day.
Titanbet is now a regular investor in British racing, having agreed deals at Warwick for the Kingmaker Novices’ Chase, Kempton Park and Lingfield so far this year.
The sportsbook, run by Playtech’s subsidiary PT Entertainment Services, is planning a number of initiatives during the coming months to attract new customers in the fiercely-competitive market.
Russell Yershon, head of U.K. sportsbook for Titanbet, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring at York as part of our commitment to U.K. horse racing on what is certain to be a great day’s racing in front of a big crowd.
“We’re confident it will drive turnover on the sport, which is a big favorite with our customers who can bet and watch on all U.K. and Irish races on both desktop and mobile devices."
James Brennan, head of marketing and sponsorship at York Racecourse, said: “York is delighted to welcome Titanbet to the Knavesmire for our first Saturday fixture of the 2015 season.
“Both races are likely to attract full fields and I’m sure racegoers will enjoy the added benefits that our new sponsor will bring to this already popular raceday.”
