Reuters reports that an Irish Internet company called Orbiscom is claiming to have the answer to security and privacy concerns regarding online credit card usage. The company recently announced a deal with Allied Irish Banks (AIB) in which AIB customers will be able pay for merchandize and services over the Internet without having to disclose their credit card numbers. Obiscom says its system generates a unique number for every transaction. Thus, fraudulent transactions can easily be traced to the perpetrator. The new system is patented in nearly 100 countries.

Big Bang, an Internet market development firm that assists clients to more effectively target
and deliver their Web-based marketing campaigns, recently announced the launching of the Big
Bang Network--an entirely new, patented model for Web publishers and online advertisers that integrates the attributes of ad networks, ad servers, and incentive programs (consumers earn points toward rewards) to deliver customized ads on websites to users based on highly detailed demographic information. The company boast that the new solution has yielded clickthru rates as high as nearly 24 percent.
Here's how it works: Web users register at bigbang.com or at partner Web sites, providing more than 200 fields of demographic information. They are "incentivized" to register because they get points that can be redeemed for frequent flyer miles or products. Big Bang awards points to registered users for visiting partner websites and additional points for clicking on ads on that site. Big Bang's patented system delivers custom ads to its partners' Web users on the fly, based on their demographics captured at registration. For more information, visit http://www.bigbang.com.
