Fingerprint Scanners Are Doing away with Unwanted Passwords
For years the world has been dazzled with fancy gadgets to scan eyes or fingers in order to gain access into secure areas. But, companies and individuals can now install software that essentially does away with passwords and user names in exchange for scanning eyes and thumbs. As sensitive and important business is increasingly conducted online, biometrics' day may finally have come. Within the next year, mobile phones and personal computers will have fingerprint scanners as optional equipment, providing convenience as well as increased security. In addition to the increase of wireless communication, biometrics offer a much more secure and protective shield for users. While passwords and user names can be hacked and stolen, fingerprints and eye scans can't.
