There's a new face among gaming software suppliers, and it's already a standout among wireless technology providers.
Trimon Systems Inc., a Korean I-gaming software designer, debuted its product lineup at last month's World Gaming Congress in Las Vegas. While there, IGN caught up with Jay Chang, the company's legal and marketing director. Chang said Trimon is concentrating on making its mark in the emerging technology arena.
"Our job," he said, "as being Trimon, being part of the online gaming industry, is to develop the best software possible, then develop the technology out there, and put them together so (operators) get the online gaming software to the level where they can compete with other industries at the same level."
Facing competition from established players like World Gaming plc and Chartwell Technology Inc., Trimon waited to introduce its products until its executives felt the time was right.
Now that the company feels confident that its downloadable product is ready to go head to head with the competition, it has begun promoting the product at tradeshows around the world. So far, Trimon has signed a master license agreement with Poker.com. Its software can also be seen at www.vipjackpot.com, www.inetwager.com, www.realtimevegas.com, www.evegas.com, and www.euro2000casino.com.
Chang said Trimon demos its products on the Euro2000 site to check for any last-minute changes that might need to be made before presenting the software to potential clients.
"That's our baby," he said. "That's our reference site."
Trimon's suite of games includes nine games: baccarat, blackjack, Caribbean stud poker, craps, Pai Gow poker, Let It Ride, American roulette, slots and video poker. Two more games, mah-jongg and pachinko, are in the works, and the company has been fielding requests for other Asian games to be added. Trimon's software supports seven languages: English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, German and French.
The casino software can be customized and offers a local practice mode so that players can practice before leaping into real-money play. A standalone poker suite, meanwhile, is available in both Java and MS Windows environments and offers both a general and expert playing mode and a real-time chatting option for multi-player games.
Trimon is in the beginning stage of launching its mobile casino games; only one is available so far. Chang said the company is in the process of adding more games, something Trimon hopes to accomplish before the end of the year.
