The Racing Network, LLC (TRN) announced today that it will distribute its live racing coverage and expand its audience to the direct broadcast satellite market by launching four of TRN's channels on EchoStar Communications Corporation's DISH Network on Oct. 29.
TRN will be offered as a sports package for $24.99 per month on DISH Network. All four TRN
channels on DISH Network will provide coverage of up to eight racetracks per day, seven days a week, with full-card coverage of a combination of harness, thoroughbred and greyhound racing from over 60 racetrack content-providers. DISH Network is EchoStar's state-of-the-art direct broadcast satellite system with the capacity to offer 500 channels of digital video and CD-quality audio programming. It currently serves 2.8 million customers. TRN is a partnership between Transracing Inc. (TRI), the Ontario Jockey Club, Ladbroke Racing Corporation and International Investment and Underwriting.
