International Leisure Development wants to turn Spain’s Aragon region into a Las Vegas-like attraction, The Guardian reports.

According to the newspaper, the Gran Scala project could span 11 square miles and include 32 casino resorts and theme parks.

“We know a project like this is going to create controversy,” Jaime Riera of International Leisure Development told The Guardian. “Gran Scala is going to be totally committed to the environment and sustainability. It will become a model.”
