U.S. Agents Look into Crown before Granting License

10 February 2009

Next month agents from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will stop by Melbourne’s Crown Casino to look into the Crown Ltd.s’ operations, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

The gaming control board’s interest was sparked after Crown bought the Cannery Casinos chain in 2007. Crown is still in need of a gaming license to operate the chain, and the board is investigating whether James D. Packer’s company is the right fit, the Herald said.
