U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., who announced this week that he will introduce legislation aimed at repealing last year's anti-Internet gambling bill, said on Thursday that details on the legislation would be made public in the coming weeks.
"I'm not ready to give you more details, but I will be by next week or so. We'll talk more about it later. There's no urgency on it," he said.
Frank, who is also the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, told Reuters he is in no hurry to introduce legislation, but plans to consult with others on the matter.
A spokesperson for the congressman stressed that a bill has not yet been drafted and no timetable has been set for action.
