Despite reports to the contrary, sources in Washington, D.C., are saying that the Frist prohibition language has not been attached to the U.S. Senate FY 2007 Defense Department Conference Report (DCR 07).
Washington media reported Tuesday that I-gaming prohibition language has been inserted, but this, insiders say, is not the case.
Sen. Bill Frist, R-Tenn., two weeks ago initiated efforts to attach I-gaming prohibition provisions to DCR 07. He has not been successful to date, but those efforts have continued throughout the last two weeks.
One source close to the situation said that Frist is still working his angles.
