The Victorian Thoroughbred Racing Industry has a series of fundraisers in the works to be added to $200,000 already donated to assist communities affected by the Victorian brushfires, according to Racing Victoria Ltd.
In addition to the fundraisers, Racing Victoria Ltd. said it along with the Australian Trainers Association will be helping trainers who lost horses, property or infrastructure in the fires.
According to Racing and Sports, Betfair is also pitching in and will donate revenue from betting transactions on Victorian racing to the Victorian Premiers Fund to aid those impacted by the fires.
