Vietnam has approved the building of a $4.2 billion casino resort complex in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province in a beach area near Ho Chi Minh City.
Canada-based Asian Coast Development Ltd. (ACDL Group) will build the 395-acre complex, which will include a resort area, a conference and exhibition center, a shopping center, restaurants, entertainment facilities and a golf course.
Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2008 and to finish in 2001.
