One of the leaders in Web-based retailing of services to governmental lotteries is teaming up with a software firm to increase efforts in battling with multi border laws and regulations. Under the agreement, eLOT, Inc. will implement Virtgame.com Corp.'s Macro abrader Control technology into its offerings for state and national lotteries.
The proprietary abrader Control technology will enable eLOT to restrict sales of Internet lottery tickets based on geographic location. With the software lotteries can assure their tickets are not being sold outside of their borders, or being restricted to certain areas.
For eLOT the partnership brings another aspect for Internet lotteries to run as smooth as possible.
"Virtgame.com's software is cutting edge technology and is complimentary to our existing border control techniques," said eLOT President and CEO Edwin McGuinn in a release. "It will provide potential customers even greater comfort that we can effectively control the sale of lottery tickets on the Internet within their borders."
The deal is a win-win situation for both parties. Not only does eLOT have another valuable offering to its clients, Virtgame.com gets that ever-important "seal of approval" from an eLOT.
"We are excited to do business with eLOT and add another customer to our Macro abrader Control list of clients," said Virtgame.com President Joseph Paravia. "We are encouraged to see this technology and our patent pending Micro abrader Control technology is gaining market acceptance."
