We're #1, says Gamesville.com

Wall Street Journal subscribers were greeted today with an interesting article about "sticky" websites. The Marketplace article discussed the ongoing quest for internet companies to find ways to get and keep "eyeballs".

There among, and actually leading, the eBay's, Yahoos and Hotmails was online gaming's own veteran Gamesville.com....home of the granddaddy BingoZone.

Gamesville (whose slogan "wasting your time since 1995" is a personal favorite) was seen as number one for the month of December in keeping players at the site. According to the Wall Street Journal, their players averaged 246 minutes per month.

Gamesville and specifically BingoZone offer free play for online gamers. But they're seen as a great source of referrals for internet gambling sites because of the 1.5 million registered players at the site.
