October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and William Hill has teamed up with the charity Breast Cancer Care, the United Kingdom-based charity, to do its part in raising awareness and funds for the charity whose mission is to help people affected by the disease.
William Hill has launched three ways to contribute to the cause.
For the month of October, 10 percent of every Pink Ribbon ticket sold will go to the charity.
In addition, for every new customer that registers between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 using the code "CARE" and plays £20, £10 will go to the charity. William Hill has also included a link to the charity's Web site where customers can make a direct donation.
The money raised will fund support and information for people who have been diagnosed, plus their friends and families, ensuring that no-one has to face breast cancer alone.
"There are many people who are struggling to come to terms with their diagnosis on their own at this very minute and that is unacceptable," Sarah Hill, head of corporate fundraising at Breast Cancer Care, said in a prepared statement. "That’s why we are so grateful for the support from William Hill. The crucial funds raised will help us to reach more people and to offer them the care and support they need, whenever they need it."
