Just as news issued that 500 International Game Technology employees will be laid off this week, reports that Las Vegas Sands Corporation will lay off 11,000 workers have also surfaced.
Channel NewsAsia reports that building delays for a Sands development in Macau will put some 11,000 construction workers out of work.
The head of the Sands’ Asia division said in a news conference that the project would not move forward until the casino behemoth obtained further financial backing.
