World Gaming Sued by Licensee

2 May 2002

COA World Entertainment Ltd. is suing I-gaming software developer World Gaming for $1.84 million for alleged contract violations.

The operator of www.casinoonair.com and a former World Gaming licensee, COA filed the lawsuit against the software company in March.

In the lawsuit, COA alleges that World Gaming did not provide it with its database and did not amicably cooperate when the database was requested. It also alleges that World Gaming's software was faulty and suffered numerous failures and downtimes and that World Gaming did not provide adequate customer support, causing COA to lose money and clients.

Haim Tabak, a COA representative, said his company could not comment on the lawsuit beyond the statement COA released.

World Gaming also released a statement about the suit, saying the action lacked merit and was unfortunate.

"The lawsuit filed recently by Casino on Air is without merit," the statement said. "World Gaming has filed a statement of arbitration that outlines our position, however we have made it a company policy not to discuss or disclose details of ongoing discussions where there is an outstanding legal matter. Lawsuits of this nature are unfortunate by not uncommon in business."
