The games industry has two new Guinness World Record holders within its ranks following virtuoso videogames performances on both the Bandai Namco Games and Sega Amusements stands at January’s Amusement Trades Exhibition, or ATEI.
Industry specialist Kevin Williams set a best time of 1:34 on the Raw Thrills powerboat-themed racing game “H2Overdrive” on the frozen tundra' course. His feat was matched by Matthew Page on the Sega stand who set a best time of 6:34 to complete the Championship Mode on “Sega Rally 3.”
“Both Kevin and Matthew delivered world beating performances and will be put forward for inclusion in the next Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition, Gaz Deaves, video games records manager at Guinness World Records, said in a prepared statement.
