Wynn Earnings Triple in Q2

Second quarter earnings for Wynn Resorts Ltd. more than tripled to $272 million in 2008 compared to the same period last year.

The increase resulted from higher earnings from Wynn Macau and a $140.7 million deferred tax benefit recorded during the quarter.

Net revenues for the second quarter reached $825.2 million, compared to $687.5 million in the second quarter of 2007, on the back of a 50.3 percent increase in revenues at Wynn Macau.

Consolidated adjusted property EBITDA increased 14 percent to $237 million for the quarter, compared to $208 million over the same period last year.
