LONDON, ICE, Excel Arena -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Yggdrasil Gaming Limited, the Malta-based gaming company, is proud to announce the signature of its first licensee, PlayCherry Ltd, a part of the Cherry Group, to coincide with that group's 50th anniversary celebrations.
Fredrik Elmqvist, Yggdrasil Gaming CEO, talking at ICE said, “We are extremely pleased to provide Cherry with our brainchild, the instant RNG lottery games portfolio. Lotteries have global appeal because of the public’s love of numbers and almost everyone has a favorite or special number. Yggdrasil has taken this popularity with the consumer and integrated it within other popular and proven gaming concepts in order to create a unique suite of instant RNG lottery games for remote gaming operators.
“With exciting games and very distinctive play, we believe that these will prove very popular with players and we are delighted that Cherry Group, now distinguished with 50 years in the business, is our first licensee.”
Marius Andersen, head of Cherry’s online gaming division, said, “Cherry has ambitious growth plans for the online business even more since the offload of the maritime business at the back-end of last year. This new Lottery partnership is an extension of the successful online Casino business and will be a great asset to us moving forward. We are always looking for new, innovative partners who can provide us with games in order to increase acquisition and retention, boost traffic and sales, and Yggdrasil's products are perfect for Cherry Online.”
Yggdrasil (pronounced yg: drasil) is awaiting the completion of its Malta LGA license before it unveils no less than 19 unique instant RNG lottery games to the market, under its "NUMB3R L0V3RS" concept.
The video scratch games conceptualize the game around what players could do with their winnings, hence names like "Holiday Cash," "King for a Day," "A Cool Million" and so forth, awarding instant free rounds to generate more enjoyable game-play and maximize player retention. Additional products, such as 3D Video Keno and Instant Lotto, will also be launched in April.
