Online Gaming in Turkey

Turkey maintains strict control over its online gaming market. Only the lotteries (sports and traditional) are allowed to offer sports betting and online lotteries; foreign operators are prohibited from offering online gaming and sports betting in Turkey.

In 2006, new laws and regulations made it illegal for online gaming operators to target Turkish residents. The new regulations also try to prevent banks from processing any online gaming-related transactions.
