Online Gaming in Vietnam

Internet gaming in Vietnam is prohibited and closely monitored by a special police unit. Only the state lotteries are allowed to offer their products online and Decree 06 explicitly bans online betting for horse racing, greyhounds and football, limiting legal bets to land-based and telephone channels.

In October 2015, Vietnam began talks with Nanum Lotto, South Korea's sole lottery operator, in hopes of integrating the lottery system into Vietnam's legal lottery.
