Online Gaming in Saint Kitts and Nevis

The Betting and Gaming Control law of 1999 allows for the Federation (the joint government between St. Kitts and Nevis) to issue online gaming licenses. Residents of the islands are not permitted to gamble online.

The process to obtain a Betting and Gaming license consists of applying for the license, incorporating a company in St. Kitts and Nevis, and meeting the final requirements once the company is incorporated. Government regulations state the company name cannot contain the word “Casino.” A registration fee of USD 80,000 is payable to the government as well as an annual license fee of USD 40,000. A written statement is required declaring that nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis will not be eligible to place bets or conduct any other gaming activities. Work permits are required for all non-nationals. Notification of changes in the company directors or beneficial owners must be submitted to the appropriate government authority. Advertisements placed on the internet are required to be cleared by the government authority. The company must also open a bank account with a St. Kitts and Nevis bank.
