Online Gaming in Nebraska

Internet gambling is currently illegal in Nebraska, but in January 2015, state Senator Tyson Larson began a push to reclassify Draw and Hold'em poker as games of skill, and thereby exempt them from the state's anti-gambling laws.

Larson's proposed bill included a 10% rake on poker tournament fees in addition to an uncapped 5% rake on all cash game pots. There has been no progress made on the bill as of press time.

In January 2016, a bill to regulate daily fantasy sports – LB 862 – was introduced. It saw little movement.

In February 2017, LB 469 was introduced by Sen. Tyson Larson. The bill would license and regulate fantasy sports contests in the state.
