Online Gaming in New Mexico

DFS regulation in the form of House Bill 314 was introduced in February 2016, but was shelved. Though many DFS operators are active within the state, the New Mexico Gaming Control Board has commented that DFS is not authorized under state law.

Currently, there are no DFS bills under consideration.

In October 2018, sports betting went live at the Santa Ana Star Casino and Hotel, which is operated by the Tamaya Nation at the Pueblo of Santa Ana. New Mexico does not have an actual state law to allow sports betting, but the tribe believes its compact allows for it and as of late 2018 there had been no ruling in court or legislative action in New Mexico to address the situation.
