Internet Gaming in Tasmania

Now that the dust is settling in Australia following a one-year moratorium on Internet gambling and the ensuing enactment of a law that prohibits Australian companies from offering casino gambling over the Internet to Australian players all eyes in the industry turn to those states with gambling legislation in place. Among them is Tasmania, which granted a license to the Federal Group to the operator of two online casinos which were shut down upon the commencement of the moratorium. Earlier this month, the State Department from the island state released this updated overview of Internet gaming.
