Online Gaming in Puerto Rico

The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is an unincorporated U.S. territory. Even though it is not a state, it has followed the lead of many American states by permitting regulated online sports betting as well as authorized online horse-race wagering.

In March 2012, the Horse Racing Board in Resolution 11-31 JH of August 15, 2011, and the Government of Puerto Rico authorized and approved the first legal online wagering site in Puerto Rico. GanaDondeSea.com offers the residents of Puerto Rico legal horse race betting from the Camarero Racetrack via the internet and smartphone. The site is only available to residents of Puerto Rico who are at least 21 years old.

In January 2021, outgoing Governor of Puerto Rico Wanda Vázquez Garced signed Senate Bill 1534 into law, which supported the framework for sports betting, remote betting and eSports.
