Manches Briefing: Swiss Institute Study

The Swiss Institute of Comparative Law released the final draft of its long awaited report, "Study of Gambling Services in the Internal Market of the European Union," on April 24. The report, commissioned by the European Union, has been eagerly awaited by the gaming industry as a document that it hoped would highlight the great inconsistencies and gaps in law across the community within each member state and with respect to that state's approach to intra-community gambling services competition. It was further hoped to be a tool that could be used to support a move to a more consistent approach and harmonized legislation.»
