Interacive Magic, an entertainment company offering free and pay-for-play games over the Internet, happily announced this week that the it has received quite a boost in both customers and advertising revenues as a result of adding bingo and other new casino games to the iMagic Entertainment Network (imagicgames.com) and AT&T WorldNet's (R) GameHub (gamehub.net).

AIEE to Sell 80 Percent of its Eminet Domain Subsidiary

Atlantic International Entertainment, Ltd. (AIEE) has entered into an agreement to sell 80 percent of its interest in its wholly owned subsidiary, Eminet Domain (d/b/a Atlantic Internet) to Centerline Associates, Inc. for $2.5 million. Centerline will pay Atlantic in a combination of cash and Atlantic stock (500,000 shares of AIEE) that it currently owns. The closing date of the transaction is March 31, 1999.

Russian Republic Legalizes Internet Gaming

A Russian law firm called John Tiner & Partners reports that it has drafted a law legalizing Internet gaming in the Republic of Kalmykia, a member republic of the Russian Federation. According to the firm, the legislation was passed on March 9, 1999 by the parliament of Kalmykia and is the first known law in Russia to recognize Internet casinos.
