The atmosphere surrounding Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist's continued effort to piggyback prohibitive online gambling provisions to the FY 07 Defense Department (DOD) Authorization bill has again intensified. In a memo addressed to Frist, R-Tenn., Armed Services Committee Chairman John Warner voiced his explicit opposition to adding provisions he considers inconsistent with the scope of the DOD bill. The memo, dated Sept. 25, was released to the press this afternoon by Warner, R-Va.»
