Lloyd's v Nasa

The Corporation of Lloyd's was incorporated in 1871 by Act of Parliament of the United Kingdom. "Lloyd's of London" constitutes a collective mark registered on May 15, 1979 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Plaintiffs are among the Underwriters at Lloyd's entitled to use the "Lloyd's of London" collective mark. Pursuant to 15 U.S.C. ยง 1127 the term "collective mark" means a trade or service mark.

NASA International Continues to Squabble with Lloyd's

The lawsuit brought against NASA International by dpMann, a group of underwriters from Lloyd's of London, continues to lumber through the courts in the U.S. Southern District of New York. Most recently, NASA attorneys filed a motion on June 17 to dismiss the case, which a NASA spokesperson expects will be ruled on by mid-August.

Starnet Announces Legal Victory over Longtime Foe

The tide may have turned for Starnet Communications International in its legal battle against the publisher of two Internet publications that have allegedly defamed the company and its officers. The company announced yesterday the placement of a judgement against Claude Levy and two websites, Gambling Magazine and Starnet News, that Levy allegedly operates.
